Bastille Day 2018

Saturday 14 July the suburb of La Perouse celebrated Bastille Day. Over 200 guests were addressed by Her Worship the Mayor of Randwick Councillor Lindsay Shurey, the Consul General of France Mr. Nicolas Croizer and President of the Friends of the Laperouse Museum, Ms Carol Abela. following the addreses the Australian and French national anthems were sung and wreaths laid.

Re-enactment of cannon and musket fire added colour and fun to the delight of the younger attendees by the Brigade Francaise to the formal proceedings. Randwick Council then hosted guests to light refreshments, music, French games and painting for the large number of younger attendees.
