Fantastic turn out for the 2018 History Week talk at the Laperouse Museum!

To celebrate the 2018 History Week, the Friends of the Laperouse Museum Dr Geoffrey Lewis (author of the publication “Laperouse”) delivered a lively and incisive lecture to a full house on 1 September. Recent studies have shown that following the fatal sinking of the two expeditionary ships in the Solomons, some of the crew may have indeed survived and even reached the Torres Strait Islands. Members and guests enjoyed a glass of red or white and a fine cheese platter selection after the event.
